SLU may be a big state school, but to students it's just one giant family. Groups like PULL help freshmen adjust by pairing them with upperclassmen. Of course SLU has everything you'd expect-- school spirit, D1 athletics, and the whole Greek alphabet-- but with the caring staff and the close-knit community everything becomes more meaningful. Although not known as a top academic schools in the country, with its mentors and research opportunities students can receive an education that's comparable to the some of the best.
